So, I am moving slowly along but making a significant amount of progress. I am this close to solidifying a pro bon lawyer to help with the 501(c)3 process. Yay!
I have also been working diligently on the potential farm site. Dwaine has been of an immense help moving this project forward. The potential of what is sitting on the horizon scares the beegesus out of me but also makes me giddy. The process is still an uphill battle but we are making headway. We did our first planting a couple days after Mike J died so we did the planting in his honor while boogeying to his greatest hits. Then last week we hit up Dimitri’s and planted some beautiful hydrangeas, a Sands Cherry Tree (he does not produce cherries lol) and some geraniums.
The Geraniums and other plants are looking smashing, however our hydrangeas aren’t doing so well and our sunflowers never sprouted. Then there are little things that throw you off, like people who let their dogs shit right next to gorgeous flowers.
I take a deep sigh and remember it’s all a process.
